Every spring, the National Headache Foundation holds its annual benefit to raise for our headache and migraine educational and research programs. The annual benefit is also an opportunity to honor deserving individuals in the headache field and kick off the events of National Headache and Migraine Awareness Month in June.
The commemorative month has been held annually since 1993 and aims to:
- gain recognition of headache pain as a real and legitimate concern;
- encourage individuals with headache or migraine to see a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment; and,
- let individuals with headache or migraine know that there are new treatments available.
